Principal Component and Cluster Analyses of 20 Genotypes of Chilli (Capsicum sp.) Planted on Peatlands

Abstract This research aims to obtain information about the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of genetic diversity 20 chili genotypes analyze their similarity as basis for selecting parental crossbreeds in peatland assembly varieties. was conducted peatlands Tuah Karya Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province analyzed at Plant Breeding Laboratory Faculty Agriculture, University from November 2020-April 2021. The study used a randomized block design consisting (Agronomy Horticulture IPB University’s collection) with three replications, so there were 60 experimental units. There are 22 characters 13 identified. Qualitative data transformed into based on International Genetic Resource Institute (IPGRI) average data. Principal component cluster analyses using SPSS Statistics software. Results show that large plants principal analysis grouped four clusters level 82.5% proportion 57.53%. closest is CG4 CG6. Based cayenne pepper two 90% 72.80% proportion. CG16 CG19.
